Reclamation, Real Art Ways, Hartford, CT. January 20-February 20th, 2022.

During times of struggle, art has consistently been a lens with which to process the world around me. Understanding my own neurodivergence and coping with overstimulation, hyper-fixation, rumination, and existential panic, I often find myself seeking out the bigger picture. Creating abstracted imagery of just how vast this world I live in allows me the perspective to come back down to Earth, while simultaneously leaving it. The forms created in these pieces are manifestations of this process and a reclamation of self.

Utilizing photographic alchemy as a medium and a variety of methods to apply them, these pieces are unique in the fact that they are ever-changing. Much like ourselves, their colors may change, become brighter, or slowly fade over time. They age, grow, and adapt to the environment around them. While some pieces may have been made from the same cloth, no two are entirely uniform. They are each as powerful on their own as they are together.
